DAY 1 – 4 : CAPE TOWN Arrive Cape Town Airport where you will be met and transferred to Four Rosmead, an exclusive guesthouse situated on the slopes of Table Mountain in the select residential suburb of Oranjezicht. The guesthouse enjoys360º views of the mountain, Lions Head, Signal Hill, Table Bay and the city. It is within walking distance of the city as well as vibrant Kloof Street, which is well known for its restaurant and café culture.

DAY 5 - 6 : WINELANDS Collect your rental car and make your way to Franschhoek. The town has become one of the top destinations for visitors to South Africa. Upon your first visit you will understand why; the entire Franschhoek valley, not just the village itself, is breathtaking. Widely known as the “Food and wine capital of South Africa”, Franschhoek boasts some of the best restaurants in the country, together with numerous wine estates.

DAY 7 : SAFARI Make your way to Aquila Private Game Reserve, under a two-hour scenic drive via the N1 from Franschhoek. Proclaimed a Private Nature Reserve in 1985, this malaria free, 4500-hectare reserve is steeped in Khoi San and Boer War history and boasts 3 pristine biomes of vegetation set in the most magnificent Karoo mountains, valleys, rivers and kloofs.
14h00: Check in at Aquila Private Game Reserve. Buffet lunch in the restaurant 16h00: Depart for a 2 – 3 hour game drive with an experienced rangers also visiting world-renowned Khoi San Bushman rock art sites. Drinks & snacks are served at various look out points along the route. 19h00: Return to the lodge and restaurant for an authentic African dinner or traditional South African braai (barbecue) in the lapa 19h30: Dinner is served in the Restaurant
DAY 8 – 9 : HERMANUS Early morning game drive before breakfast. Your journey continues to Hermanus, known as the heart of the whale route (July – Nov). The Fernkloof Nature Reserve offers nature lovers a paradise of flora and fauna with a 60 km network of hiking trails providing an ideal opportunity for visitors of all fitness levels to enjoy the beauty of the reserve with its spectacular views. Beaches in and around Hermanus are amongst the finest in the world offering great surfing, sailing, family picnic spots, swimming, tanning and great walks for the family. Hermanus is a hive of activity with its regular craft and produce markets, speciality stores, coffee shops, restaurants, galleries, wine wanders and many varied outdoor activities.

DAY 10 : CAPE TOWN Embark on one of the finest coastal drives in the world on your way back to Cape Town. The road hugs the awesome Kogelberg Mountains and offers many rest points to enjoy whale watching and photo opportunities. Drive through Kleinmond and continue to Betty’s Bay, home to one of only two mainland African Penguin Colonies at Stony Point, nesting alongside the ruins of the old whaling station. The Harold Porter Botanical Garden showcases a variety of indigenous coastal flora. Continue through the internationally acclaimed pristine area of the Kogelberg Biosphere Reserve to the village of Rooiels. When looking across False Bay, you can see all the way to Cape Point on a fine day. Drive past Gordon’s Bay to the N2, which will take you to Cape Town International Airport. Drop off your rental car and board your plane back home.
