ITINERARY
DAY 1 : NAIROBI - LAKE MANYARA Morning drive from Nairobi to Arusha, crossing the border at Namanga. Lunch and continue to Lake Manyara, arriving late afternoon at your safari lodge overlooking the lake. Overnight at safari lodge. [LD]
DAY 2 : LAKE MANYARA - SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK Drive through the Ngorongoro conservation area to the Serengeti National Park with game viewing en route. Lunch and late afternoon game viewing drive on the vast Serengeti plains. Overnight at lodge. [FB]
DAY 3 : SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK Early morning and late afternoon game viewing drives in the Serengeti National Park, famous for its large prides of lion and herds of wildebeest and zebra. The optional hot air balloon excursion is a fantastic experience and this is the best ballooning venue in Africa. Overnight at lodge. [FB]
DAY 4 : NGORONGORO CRATER Continue this morning to the Ngorongoro crater, stopping at Olduvai Gorge to visit the museum. Arrive at safari lodge built on the crater rim. Lunch and afternoon walking tour of the crater rim with the lodge naturalist. Overnight at lodge. [FB]
DAY 5 : NGORONGORO CRATER An early descent to the crater floor to enjoy a picnic breakfast before setting off on your game viewing drive without the crowds. Ascend the crater wall and return to your safari lodge for a late lunch with the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at lodge. [FB]
DAY 6 : NGORONGORO CRATER - NAIROBI Morning drive to Arusha, lunch and continue to Nairobi, arriving late afternoon. [BL]
